2023 NRHA European Derby: Horses and riders are set and ready to go in Lyon

Lyon, October 31 — Equita Lyon has once again set the stage for the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) European Derby. Open to 5-, 6-, 7-, and 8-year-old horses entered in the NRHA Nomination Program, the 13th edition offers a total of Euro 267.661 added money (subject to change in nominations) and will be held on November 1-5 in Lyon, France.

The Euro Derby will offer both the Gunna Sparkle Novice Horse Open and the LL Tecnologie Novice Horse Non Pro divisions as well as the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) Open and Non Pro Level 4 Euro Derby Chrome Cash Championships. Adding a thrill to this year’s event is The Run For A Million 2024 qualifier for the Million Dollar Competition — as well as the non pro and youth qualifiers — all held for the first time outside the U.S.

Opening the show on November 1 will be the ELEMENTA Non Pro Derby go round with 98 horse-rider combinations entered across the four levels.
